We were in Munich for the first Management Meeting of the new term in the Culture Next Cities Network.
Created in 2017, Culture Next is a network dedicated to cities that are candidates for European Capital of Culture, current or former, awarded or not, with the aim of promoting wider recognition of culture as sustainable development and extending existing European cultural cooperation frameworks.
At this meeting, the new Board and an extended Executive Team discussed the details of the next four years of the network. 39 member cities from 24 countries in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
The plans for the coming years include 8 conferences, 90 mobilities, 9 international missions, 5 thematic working groups, 2 R&D projects, and many other international collaborations.
