Cavalgada de Mil Amperes is a show of excess, combining the poetry of Álvaro de Campos with music and cinema to create a unique sensory experience. Actor António Durães gives body and voice to the celebration of extreme sensation, the desire to feel like God, in the vertigo of unstoppable electricity.
This interpretation is complemented by artistic layers that amplify the poetic delirium: the original music by Márcio Décio and João Figueiredo, which sculpts unexpected soundscapes, and the disturbing films by Edgar Pêra, whose shocking images and strong visual component expand the changing universe of Campos.
We are preparing a year-long celebration of national artistic creation, in connection with Europe and with the artists and cultural agents from Braga.
