Can we reimagine a new form for the most iconic figures of our popular heritage, the cabeçudos?
In this Porta do Fazer workshop, participants sit down with Ida e Volta and illustrator Júlio Dolbeth to think about new creative possibilities for representation. Using moulds, paper and colours, the fixed group of 20 participants is challenged to shape their own cabeçudos, working in pairs and combining traditional knowledge with contemporary visual proposals. This two-day activity proposes an encounter between tradition and imagination with a practical application.
Porta do Fazer is part of the Mediation Programme of Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture/ Trainers: José Freitas (Ida e Volta – Cultural and Artistic Association) and Júlio Dolbeth
