Go and sweeten yourself!” Based on this popular expression used by the people of Póvoa de Varzim, artist Ana Isabel Castro reflects on what it truly means to sweeten oneself, as a synonym for washing, removing salt and sweat from the body and, consequently, making it sweet.
In this Supracasa show, the performer starts with dance, focusing on the body and the fluidity of movement, seeking to explore the idea of cleansing, of creating space that gives rise to the ability to observe, to flow and, ultimately, to become sweet.
