Pensar Juntos (Thinking Together), part of the Bem Comum (Common Good) Program, marks three years of democratic dialogue on January 24 at gnration

The Bem Comum Program marks three years of promoting youth civic participation with the meeting “Thinking Together — Celebration of Democratic Dialogue,” which will take place on January 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the multipurpose room at gnration.

The initiative will bring together young people from different schools in the municipality who participated in the various editions of the program, promoted in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 school years, in the context of Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture. The aim of this session is to celebrate the progress made, reflect on the themes and values worked on, and reinforce the importance of democratic dialogue in building more participatory communities.

The event is structured around three main moments: a moment of encounter between young people from different schools and editions of the program; a moment of sharing and democratic dialogue around the issues that inspired the Bem Comum Program; and a moment of collective creation, which will bring together young people and experts to draft a manifesto, to be subsequently delivered to the new municipal executive of Braga.

This meeting will bring together students of different age groups at gnration, who will engage in dialogue with guests Mário Meireles, Councilor of the Municipality of Braga, Adriano Ferreira Borges, photographer, cultural mediator, and founding member of the PAVAC collective, the Refood platform, and the core team of Bem Comum.

The event is aimed at young people aged 14 to 18, and participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration through this link.

About Bem Comum
Bem Comum Braga is a program that empowers young people aged 14 to 18 to think democratically and act politically in their community, carrying out projects in collaboration with municipalities and civil society. In 2023, Bem Comum ran its pilot program in Braga, as part of Braga 25, and remained active, working in conjunction with school groups. This program aimed to create conditions for young people to act for the common good in their community, in an informed manner about the reality that surrounds them and sensitive to the challenges of sustainable development.
