Mimarte festival is back

The festival, deeply rooted in Braga, emerges as a bridge between past and future: it honors 25 years of artistic and cultural legacy while challenging the city and its audiences to embrace new possibilities for artistic creation and expression.

The 25th edition of Mimarte celebrates a historic milestone while projecting a bold and inspiring future. Under the symbol of 25, this edition of Mimarte celebrates movement, history and the freedom to imagine the new. Twenty-five years of streets lived through gestures and stories become the basis for a festival that doesn’t just look back, but projects itself into the future. At 25 years old, the festival wants to be disruptive, opening up space for new aesthetics and languages, starting from the essence of street theater and giving it new wings, new streets and new forms.

From July 1 to 6, the festival transcends the format of a simple cultural event, becoming an invitation to experience art in all its dimensions: with shows, talks, masterclasses and presentations that awaken the city and encourage community participation, transforming Mimarte into a platform that promotes a future where public space is the essential stage for democracy.
