Where does the Este River flow? What does it show us along its course and what does it have to tell us about our public space and the way we understand knowledge, food, work and leisure?
To answer some of these questions, we created Encontros com o Rio (Encounters with the River), which take place in three different places in Braga, always by the River Este. Games and creative creative processes guided by the Guarda Rios collective, we will understand the cycle and listen to the River Este in its relationship with the city and the people of Braga.
This event is part of Desejar – Movement of Arts and Common Places, a project that invites people to meet, create, think and debate about life and the arts in the city of Braga. Desejar is a long-term project based on three major moments: the Desejar Assemblies, spaces for thought and co-creation; the Desejar Academy, training sessions for cultural, environmental, social and educational agents, among others; and the Desejar Celebration, the culmination of the project, in a whole week where we will celebrate participatory and community art.
