Is the end of life the end of love? In this tender show by Mohamed El Khatib, part of the Cenários programme, which brings together Braga 25 and the D. Maria II National Theatre, we are invited to talk about love stories.
In the face of ageing, the artist leads us to reflect on the persistence of affection, desire and a reinvented sexuality, free from pressure and social scrutiny. Mohamed El Khatib weaves this narrative based on encounters and interviews with elderly people from all walks of life. The result is a multifaceted portrait of love in old age: nostalgic, but above all, an inspiring promise that desire can nestle in the fragility of life until the very last moment.
