A journey into photography’s past. This is the purpose of this workshop, which aims to explore how it all began, from the origins of the technique to its scientific and cultural evolution.
The photographic practices covered here run counter to digital photography, highlighting the importance not only of the end result, but also of the image creation process, including how chemical reagents, light and printing surfaces interact. Technical and scientific aspects will be covered, as well as key moments in the history of photography, with practical technical demonstrations.
