The Til collective has been present at the Assemblies of Desire to listen, ask and challenge, rehearsing prototypes and promoting a space for experimentation and dialogue in the city.
In this workshop, we will map the city of desire as a fluid place, outside the restrictive limits of space and time. Through games and collective dynamics, we’ll understand what desire is and how it moves us individually in the territory. We’ll also understand how desire overflows the individual body and occupies the collective. In the end, we want to discover where the city of desire intersects with the ‘functional’ city.
Coletivo Til’s participation in these workshops and the Assemblies of Desire will result in a jointly constructed installation, which will be presented at the Celebration of Desire, from 10 to 14 June.
This event is part of Desejar – Movement of Arts and Common Places, a project that invites people to meet, create, think and debate about life and the arts in the city of Braga. Desejar is a long-term project based on three major moments: the Desejar Assemblies, spaces for thought and co-creation; the Desejar Academy, training sessions for cultural, environmental, social and educational agents, among others; and the Desejar Celebration, the culmination of the project, a whole week in which we will celebrate participatory and community art.
