In this Clube Raiz workshop dedicated to the viola braguesa, participants will learn about the history, construction, playing techniques and tuning of this traditional stringed instrument from Minho.
Through listening, sharing, experimentation and direct contact with the instrument, this session, open to musicians and anyone interested, aims to contribute to a greater awareness of the musical culture of Minho and the viola braguesa. The Braguesa workshop is taught by Luís Capela, teacher, musician and founding member of the Association of Friends of the Viola Braguesa.
