Festive opening of the cycle of staged readings organized by Núcleo Volátil, with the play “By Heart”, by Portuguese playwright and director Tiago Rodrigues. The play will be performed by actor Nuno Preto.
A landmark work of contemporary Portuguese theater, performed in several countries, “By Heart” takes ten people to learn a poem, while the author interweaves stories about his almost-blind grandmother with those of writers and book characters. Throughout the narrative, full of intersecting affections, the mystery of the choice of poem that the ten people memorize is clarified.
