The exhibition Carnation Revolution 50 Years of Freedom is promoting a parallel programme of talks. In this first session, Fernando Sánchez Castillo, one of the most important names of the moment in Spanish contemporary art, and Fernando José Pereira, artist and researcher, hold a dialogue on Art and the Politics of Our Discontent. Paulo Mendes, who is responsible for the exhibition’s curatorial project, will moderate.

This event will be repeated on 7 and 28 June.

Carnation Revolution 50 Years of Freedom focuses on the Revolution of 25 April 1974. It is divided between the hangar of the 6th Cavalry Regiment, the Nogueira da Silva Museum and the Forum Arte Braga, in a transversal exhibition in which relevant historical works and new creations will be presented, accompanied by a variety of documentation. Made up of various pieces by national and international artists, these works dialogue with the social, political and cultural context of the historical period covered, between 1960 and the present day.
