To mark International Conservator-Restorer Day, the Braga Municipal Archive is showing behind the scenes one of its most important and lesser-known jobs: the conservation of documentary heritage.
On this visit, participants will be able to access spaces that are usually reserved for them, such as the Sanitisation Room, the Conservation Laboratory and the Depositories. During the tour, they will be able to see demonstrations of preventive and interventional conservation actions, which help prevent damage and avoid loss of documents and books that bear witness to local history.
