LABIA is an autobiographical artistic project by Jo Castro that transforms itself with each moment and territory it occupies.
Starting from queer identity as an act of destabilising one’s own identity, it proposes an encounter between multidisciplinary artists who navigate between worlds without confining themselves to ingrained ways of operating, in a coexistence and re-signification of their re/existences.
This project is developed within the scope of Guelra, a transdisciplinary Choreographic Transcreation Laboratory developed by Arte Total since 2012, which operates in the context of an artistic residency and culminates in a final public presentation with the organisation of the material produced.
