In the year that the Municipal Archive of Braga celebrates the legacy of José Veiga, this exhibition offers a visual and emotional journey through the human dimension of the artist’s work.
An undisputed standard-bearer of Minho art, Mestre Veiga’s collection stems from a keen eye for popular experiences, expressions of local religiosity and the power of the everyday gestures of the people of Minho, to whom he dedicated much of his thematic explorations. On 18 November, the artist’s centenary, a commemorative publication will be presented at the Lúcio Craveiro da Silva Library at 6 pm.
