Música de Câmara Braga brings two months of chamber music concerts to Basílica dos Congregados, offering the public a program filled with classical music essentials. The audience will be able to rediscover the timeless compositions of Mozart and Tchaikovsky, as well as those of Dvořák and Strauss, performed by local ensembles and others making their debut in the city.
Some highlights of the program include the return of legendary violinist Pinchas Zukerman; the Gulbenkian choir with one of the masterpieces of the 20th-century choral repertoire, Schnittke’s Concerto for Choir; and the University of Minho String Camerata, which invites João Braga Simões for a crossover between Mendelssohn’s classicism and contemporary percussion.
