PARAÍSO returns to Braga for another edition dedicated to the celebration of Afro-descendant and Lusophone artistic expressions, this time with a special focus on the 50th anniversary of the independence of Portuguese-speaking African countries.

This year, there are three program pillars – Performance, Thinking and Mediation – which give shape to a festival where people listen and think from the margins, the archives and the voices that continue to elevate Afro-descendants today. Thinking of the Afro-descendant artistic universe as a territory in expansion and transformation, PARAÍSO asserts itself as a place to celebrate contemporary creation born from the crossroads between past, present and future.

In 2025, PARAÍSO will once again inhabit Theatro Circo and gnration, and will once again extend to the Livraria Centésima Página, as well as explore for the first time the archives of the Braga Public Library and will roam the streets of the city of Braga, expanding its territory of encounter and celebration.
