The art installation Um Movimento a Veiga is the result of the collective creation of 180 9th grade students from Agrupamento de Escolas Francisco Sanches, which has been underway since February. The exhibition is part of the celebrations for José Veiga’s centenary.
The young people explored the estate of the artist from Braga, preserved by the Municipal Archive, and created a collective work that reinterprets his legacy in the festivities of São João. The installation will be presented to the public for the first time on International Archives Day, at the entrance to the Braga Municipal Archives building.
Um movimento a Veiga is part of MEMORAR – Cultural Mediation at the Braga Municipal Archives
We are preparing a year-long celebration of national artistic creation, in connection with Europe and with the artists and cultural agents from Braga.
