Books and action! offers a monthly programme that aims to bring children and senior citizens closer together through children’s literature, shared reflection and the creation of small artistic objects.
The literary works deal with themes related to citizenship, human rights and gender equality. In each of the ten sessions, a book will be presented through an interpreted reading by Renata Flaiban, from Rodamoinho Teatro. Afterwards, the audience will be invited to reflect on the content covered, guided by the UMAR Braga/ART’THEMIS+ team. At the end of each session, the children and seniors will be able to make an object so that the dialogue can also take place through artistic creation and so that they can take a souvenir of this moment with them.
