Pipe Poetics

Pipe Poetics promotes the creation and live performance of new compositions for Braga’s Iberian Pipe Organs, bringing together the vanguard of musical creation and this unique heritage of the city.

We have invited three contemporary composers with different backgrounds to bring new musical approaches to this fascinating instrument. Every four months in 2025, a new musical composition will be developed during a residency period and presented in a church in Braga: Basílica dos Congregados, Igreja de São Lázaro and Igreja de Santa Cruz.
