This Friday 14th February, at 7pm, Sé La Vie hosts the first session of the Vozes da Dramaturgia Luso-Brasileira Contemporânea project. A cycle of staged readings that culminates in a round table discussion open to the public. ‘By Heart’, a play by Portuguese playwright and director Tiago Rodrigues, will be the raw material for the first meeting. Admission is free.
The Vozes da Dramaturgia Luso-Brasileira Contemporânea (Voices of Contemporary Luso-Brazilian Drama) cycle is part of the Braga 25 programme. This initiative aims to bring to the public ten plays by ten important names in Portuguese and Brazilian theatre from the first quarter of the 21st century.
Organised by Núcleo Volátil, these meetings will be mediated by actor, playwright and researcher Manoel Candeias, who will be joined by the different performers who will embody the scenic play proposed by the works. After each of the dynamic readings, there will be a conversation with the author of the play, or with a person connected to its themes.
