As part of the Forma da Vizinhança programme, she has been working closely with the community of gardeners at the Quinta das Lameiras urban garden, delving into the digestive and metabolic dynamics of this ecosystem — considering all its inhabitants: humans, animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms.
Through a series of workshops held throughout July, participants were invited to slow down and engage in collective exercises of observation, breathing, harvesting, writing, fermenting, fertilising and performance. The sessions offered hands-on learning around fermenting fruits and vegetables, while also encouraging a deeper, more sensorial understanding of the garden as a living, transforming body.
This process culminates in a performative lunch on 2 August, where the outcomes — edible and otherwise — will be shared with the public. The event takes place next to Morabeza, an architectural installation designed by Cape Verdean collective RAM, in the picnic area by the garden. Capacity is limited. Registration required.
