The Cinema on the Patio cycle returns to gnration with proposals based on Edgar Morin’s book, Cinema or Imaginary Man.
The program kicks off with Michael Powell’s Victim of Fear, a film about trauma and desire, suspense and paranoia. The following week, the gnration hosts Laura Carreira’s acclaimed On Falling, which gives us a glimpse of solitude and alienating work today. This is followed by 24 Frames, by Abbas Kiarostami, a drift through the photographic matrix of cinema and the illusion of movement of 24 frames per second. And finally, Cinco da Tarde, by Eduardo Nunes, a delicate portrait of melancholy and the power of small gestures.
