CIM Cávado municipalities reinforce their support for Braga’s bid for ECOC 2027

In addition to the implementation of Braga’s bid and the numerous commitments already made by the Municipality of Braga, the remaining 5 municipalities of NUTS III Cávado – Amares, Barcelos, Esposende, Terras de Bouro, and Vila Verde – will support the communication of Braga’27 initiatives and the production of inter-municipal projects present in the bid book’s cultural programme.

CIM Cávado thus reinforces the cooperation that was established in 2021, during the pre-selection stage of Braga’s bid for the European Capital of Culture 2027. Of the 12 Portuguese candidate cities, Braga is now in the final stage of the candidacy process, together with Aveiro, Évora, and Ponta Delgada. The announcement of the winning city is scheduled for December 2022.
