Braga’27 receives financial support from North 2020 – The North Regional Operational Programme

The North Regional Coordination and Development Commission launched in 2021 NOTIFICATION N.º NORTE-28-2021-53 – PROMOTION OF EVENTS WITH INTERNATIONAL PROJECTION, recognising the importance of structuring events on an international scale, such as the European capitals initiatives of culture and sports. This notification aimed to support candidate cities in the Northern Region of Portugal, considering the bid impacts in the territories, from the outset through the preparation process, inducing new work dynamics and new investments. The municipal company Teatro Circo de Braga, EM, SA, responsible for the Braga’27 project, applied for this notification and was approved. The respective funding contract was signed, which corresponds to a total investment of €320,334.65, for which it obtained an ERDF co-financing of 200 thousand euros.
