Throughout 2025, the cycle Fotógrafas Experimentais (Experimental Photographers) will program exhibitions dedicated to the experiments of different artists in the café next to the Amor & Farinha bakery.
The first featured artist is Fátima Roque (1960-2019), who largely inspired this project.
A photographer and photography researcher, she made frequent trips to the rivers of the Amazon, not only to photograph, but also to teach courses to the local population. She has been part of discussion and action groups in the visual arts and was a member of the São Paulo Surrealist Group, having exhibited individually in various Brazilian and international institutions.
- Fátima Roque’s exhibition opens at 6pm on February 4, with a talk about the photographer’s work
- On February 14 (6pm), a stenoptic photography workshop dialogues with the works on display
Fotógrafas Experimentais is part of the Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture as part of the Todo-o-Terreno program
