When I Die, I’ll Make Movies in Hell! is a theatre show, but it is deeply contaminated by the language of cinema. Actor, director and playwright Mário Coelho, an emerging figure in the stage arts in Portugal, creates an immersive experience in which he explores the limits of theatrical narrative.
An intense and provocative work, When I Die, I’ll Make Films in Hell! takes place in an apparently normal flat inhabited by a young girl. It’s 11.36pm, a door opens and ten bodies suddenly enter the room. They dance. A nightmare begins that will last. A hereditary tragedy.
