Extremo

Extremo is a festival conceived as a one-day journey, akin to a short artistic and sensory pilgrimage. Its programme unfolds over the course of a complete day, from sunrise to sunset, bringing together sound walks, performances, installations, and concerts dedicated to exploratory and electronic music.

Designed for the border territory between the municipalities of Braga and Guimarães, the festival establishes a close relationship with the religious buildings of Monte da Falperra, its surrounding cultural and natural landscape, and the communities that inhabit and use this space.

Its inaugural edition, presented as part of Braga 25 – Portuguese Capital of Culture, featured performances and artistic creations by Cody XV & Diogo Mendes, Maria W Horn, Berru, Cláudia Martinho, Alexandre Centeio, Gordan, Sonoscopia, Luís Antero, Clothilde, Ghosted, William Basinski, and M3STR.

By connecting artistic experimentation with landscape, heritage, and collective experience, Extremo offers audiences an immersive encounter with place through sound, movement, and contemplation.

Extremo is a legacy project of Braga 25 – Portuguese Capital of Culture.
