A pioneer in experimental and expanded artistic practices, Ana Vieira (1940-2016) is one of the most influential artists in 20th century Portuguese art.
With a career spanning more than four decades, she developed a body of work marked by installations and scenic and theatrical constructions. Ana Vieira: Cadernos de Montagem focuses on the artist’s work, seeking to study, document and present a core group of works together with the respective drawings and notes made by their creator. The aim of this exhibition project is to produce assembly notebooks in order to guarantee their preservation and presentation in future exhibitions.
