Horta de Névoa

Horta de Névoa is the result of Inês de Barros’ artistic residency within the Shopyard programme. It aims to transform an abandoned space in a shopping centre into a fog-harvesting garden, exploring new urban ecologies and renaturalisation processes.

The intervention creates a controlled environment where a fog-collection device enables sensory experiences between humans and the constructed natural environment.

During the Open Studio, the artist invites the public to explore prototypes and share ideas about possible post-natural futures. In a guided tour format, participants will be able to interact with the installation and experiment with new sensory relationships with the harvest.

Shopyard is part of the Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture programme.
