The second short film in the cycle The Last Garden, promoted as part of the Manifesto of the Future programme, focuses on the ethnic, political and military conflicts from which Europe has never truly been free.
The Man Who Couldn’t Keep Quiet, by Nebojša Slijepčević (Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2024), takes us back to 1993 and the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A passenger train is stopped by paramilitary forces in an ethnic cleansing operation. While transporting innocent civilians, only one man among 500 passengers dares to confront them.
Manifesto of the Future is part of the programme for Braga 25 Portuguese Capital of Culture as part of the All-Terrain programme.
