Sexual Theatre – Reading

With reference to the project Sexual Theatre – Feminist Readings of Classics, a Braga 25 project, and the impact that reading these authors has had on the career of Catia Faísco – the Portuguese playwright invited by Faz Cultura for this programme – we are now proposing not only a selection of books that we consider to be (almost) compulsory reading, but also celebrating other female voices, represented here by the 3 Marias, with the reading of excerpts from the New Portuguese Letters, by the actresses Inês Lago, Inês Filipe and Joana Maria.

This activity is associated with the Sexual Theatre – Feminist Readings of Classics project, which is co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.

This activity is associated with the availability of a selection of books made by cátia faísco by women authors, which will be on display in the FNAC Braga shop until the 7th of May.
