The workshop led by artist and composer Pedro Augusto invites participants to explore Braga’s first-generation shopping centres through their sound space, using capture techniques such as binaural recording and ASMR.
The latter, widely used on dedicated YouTube channels, makes use of proximity capture and audio description to produce immersive sound pieces – sometimes intimate and capable of arousing physical reactions. In a process of drifting and documentation, participants will capture sounds that reveal the dynamics of these spaces, exploring the tensions and simultaneities between the public and the private.
4 sessions: 15, 17, 29 and 30 Apr
