Mestre Veiga’s work is strongly linked to the visual identity of Braga’s St. John’s Festivities, whether on street posters, drawings or in the decoration of the city’s public spaces.
In a year in which the Braga Municipal Archive is celebrating the legacy of the artist from Braga, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth, the exhibition aims to be a moment of homage to the artist. The vision of teachers and students from the School of Design of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave revisits and reflects on the creative journey that comes to us through the collection in the custody of the Braga Municipal Archive.
Exhibition as part of MEMORAR – Cultural Mediation of the Braga Municipal Archive / Curated by: Cristiana Serejo, Jorge Brandão Pereira, Marta Madureira and Paula Tavares
We are preparing a year-long celebration of national artistic creation, in connection with Europe and with the artists and cultural agents from Braga.
