Common Good Braga

Common Good Braga was a capacity-building programme aimed at young people aged 14 to 18, promoting democratic reflection and civic engagement at the local level through the development of community intervention projects in collaboration with the Municipality of Braga and civil society organisations.

Its pilot edition took place in 2023 as part of Braga 25, evolving into a long-term initiative that continued through to the end of 2025 in close partnership with the municipality’s school clusters. Throughout this period, the programme created opportunities for young people to participate actively in community life in an informed, critical, and collaborative manner.

Bem Comum Braga established itself as a platform for civic learning and practical experimentation, encouraging participants to contribute to the common good and to engage with the social and environmental challenges facing the territory.
