The pipe organs found inside the Basílica dos Congregados, the Igreja de São Lázaro and the Igreja de Santa Cruz (among others in Braga) bear witness to a form of construction that distinguishes the instruments built in the Iberian Peninsula from those in the rest of Europe.
It is on the basis of these pipe organs that the Braga 25 Pipe Poetics programme proposes artistic residencies for three artists in each of these temples. It is also to get to know these objects in detail that this edition of the B25 Guided Tours takes place. These visits follow a different route each time, to discover the city’s hidden treasures and the various cultural initiatives that make up the programme of the Portuguese Capital of Culture.
