The act of sharing takes centre stage in the Roots Club programme, where each event is intended to be a unique collective experience. Four times a year, moments are proposed where conversations, gastronomy and music are combined.
At this first meeting, the guest is chef and musician Rui Lemos Souza, who will explore the delicacies of Minho’s gastronomic heritage.
Ethnomusicologist Rosário Pestana and the groups Cantadeiras do Campo do Gerês, Mulheres do Minho and Canto a Vozes will join the conversation about the deep connections between polyphonic singing and rural life. The meeting ends with a performance by the Popular Music Group of the University of Minho.
