This arruada is more than a spectacle; it’s a moment of communion between groups that bears witness to the vibrant local cultural vitality.

It is a celebration of unity, tradition and the joy that manifests itself in every beat of the drums, infecting all those lucky enough to be part of this sound experience. Artistically directed by Rui Rodrigues, a percussionist and teacher from Braga, the megalomaniac parade brings together local groups and is also open to all percussionists who want to join in to make a long street sound like a single beat. Starting at the Arco da Porta Nova, it will make its way through the city to Praça da República.
