Jorge Cruz has been away from the stage since 2019 for health reasons. While learning to live with tinnitus, a disease that causes constant ringing and whistling in the head, he also relearned how to compose for himself.

Out of this process came Transumante (2024), a disc with which she is gradually introducing herself to national stages. Taking us back to nomadism and the changes of pasture, when cattle and shepherds went up and down the mountains of the Beiras in search of better sustenance, this work manifests itself in a cycle of songs inspired by the rural world, in which Portuguese roots music stands out in a sublime encounter between landscape and words.
