The Braga 25 Mediation Programme aims to promote contact with different audiences, insisting on the strategy previously outlined in the context of Braga’s bid to become European Capital of Culture 2027: implementing projects with a strong participatory dimension – which promote fair access for all – that focus on identifying and creating new audiences and solidifying existing ones; that foster experiences for the city’s Cultural and Creative Sector; and that facilitate cultural participation as a vehicle for an active civic life.
This programme includes projects such as Geração B25+ (an advisory body made up of more than 25 young people from all the school groups in the municipality of Braga, the Artistic School of the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga and the University of Minho), In Simple Words project, the Braga 25 Volunteer Programme (in partnership with the Municipal Volunteer Structure – Braga Voluntária), different resources to provide meetings with specific groups and the general public, and an Involvement Programme with 4 programming strands that are reflected in 12 activities.
This programme also provides for monitoring, cooperation and intersection with the other Braga 25 projects in terms of their participation and mediation dimension
