At Roots Club, the act of sharing takes centre stage, where each event is a unique collective experience. Through music and gastronomy, Roda da Tradição is an initiative that brings the community together around the table to celebrate tradition and share stories and customs.
In this second meeting, chef and musician Rui Lemos Souza invites you to Eat the Landscape by preparing, together with anyone who wants to join him (registration required here), a menu of appetisers based on Minho’s gastronomic heritage.
The talk is about traditional Portuguese music. “Where did we come from and where are we going?”, ask musicians Xico Malheiro and Sara Yasmine and José Moças from Tradisom Publishing. Armando Sousa will moderate.
The meeting will close with a performance by the Canto D’Aqui group, which since 1984 has been carrying out important work in researching and publicising traditional and popular Portuguese music.
Admission is free, but pre-registration is advised in order to control capacity.
Roda da Tradição is also part of the Municipality of Braga’s Descentrar cycle, in which, in partnership with TUB – Transportes Urbanos de Braga, trips are available for 1 euro (return) to the Festas Commission Space (Line 93 – https://www.tub.pt/percurso/93/).
