Braga 25 is hosting the first week of performances of Sexual Theatre – Feminist Readings of Classics, a cooperation project between four European partners (Bosnian National Theatre, Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Theatre City Festival, Budva, Montenegro; Paul-Valéry University, Montpellier, France; and Faz Cultura – Empresa Municipal de Cultura de Braga, Portugal), which seeks to develop a feminist reinterpretation of literary classics from these countries.

Last year, international duos of directors and playwrights collaborated with local casts and women’s rights organisations to create four new shows based on original texts, which will now travel in the form of an itinerant festival through the partner countries in 2025.
